The Rabbi Who Prayed with Fire is a mystery based in Providence, RI.  A Rabbi newly hired by a Conservative congregation hopes to bring in a new generation of Jewish members.  A Friday evening fire draws out long-standing tensions and raises contemporary issues of antisemitism, synagogue security, racism and social justice.  This is a novel with something for everyone.

About the author

Rachel Sharona Lewis is an accidental mystery novelist based in Watertown, MA. By day, she organizes faith communities in the Boston area around local social justice efforts. In her free time, she enjoys reading fiction and non-fiction alike, attending committee meetings and playing the trombone with enthusiastic mediocrity.
