Passport to
Israel Program
The
Myra and Robert Kraft Passport to Israel program
is a unique savings plan to help parents send
their children on a life-changing teen Israel
experience. The program is designed so that the
community, the synagogue and CJP, helps families
make a trip to Israel during the high school years
a reality.

Moriah Congregation in Haifa
Did you know that Haifa is Boston’s sister
city? CJP is managing a number of programs to
promote tighter bonds between the people or our
two regions, see The
Boston-Haifa Connection.
The Israel Action Committee has been working to
build a deep relationship with the Masorti
(Conservative) Moriah
Congregation in Haifa [website
translation in english]. A program to directly
connect the youth between our congregations is
organized by Dana
Haberman.
The Israel Action Committee
The Israel Action Committee seeks to deepen our
congregants’ relationships to Israel through
programs that directly impact each of our lives
through a set of initiatives:
Israel Learning – The IAC
will inform the congregation about Israeli current
events, support of Israel, and promote programs
that foster lifelong learning about Israel, including
culture, spiritual, products, politics, and entertainment.
Go Israel – The IAC will
promote information and events that will encourage
and assist congregants of all ages to travel to
Israel through individual trips, sponsored groups,
and trips organized through the congregation.
Passport to Israel – The
IAC seeks to have 80% of eligible families participate
in the Myra and Robert Kraft Passport to Israel
program that promotes teen experiences in Israel,
and incorporate Passport to Israel into B’nai
Mitzvah celebrations and gift giving.
Haifa Connection – The
IAC is creating a sister congregation relationship
in Haifa and will use this to encourage our congregants
to participate and form closer personal bonds
with families in Haifa.
The Israel Action Committee is chaired by Wayne
Domeier.
