| Early
Childhood Programs
Families are the core of the Jewish
community, and at Temple Beth Torah,
we strive to make being Jewish meaningful
and fun for our young children. Through
worship that engages them, learning
opportunities that delight them, and
a community that embraces them, children
are able to create early Jewish memories
that will last a lifetime.
Small
World Shabbat
Families with young children join together
to share the traditions of Shabbat through
prayers, stories and songs. Full of
fun music and family interaction, Small
World is targeted to children birth
to second grade. This service is led
by Rabbi Kideckel and held one Friday
per month.
Young Family High Holidays
Service
Held on the first day of Rosh Hashanah,
our Young Family High Holidays service
is a wonderful introduction to the holiest
days for our youngest friends. Open
to the community, non-members are encouraged
to attend. Led by Rabbi Kideckel, this
service is intended for children birth
to 10 years and their families. Please
be aware that tickets are required.
We also welcome you at our Tashlich
service, held at The Preserve in Holliston.
Beth Torah Tots
Children 18 months to 2.9 years of age
and their parents are introduced to
holiday customs, Jewish traditions and
Israeli culture through art projects,
stories and hands-on experiences. Beth
Torah Tots meets one Sunday per month
and is taught by a qualified Jewish
educator.
Weekly Torah Tots
Our weekly program is a drop off class
for 3 & 4 year olds led by an experienced
Jewish educator. Running September through
May, this class explores Jewish holidays,
traditions and prayers through music,
stories, arts and crafts, and pretend
play. The Hebrew alphabet is introduced,
and a weekly theme focuses on different
aspects of Jewish life. Multiple class
options are available. We are now registering
for fall of 2010; choose your class
day: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or Sunday.

Torah Explorers
Our summer program, Torah Explorers,
is structured around a cohesive theme
that is brought to life through songs,
stories, games, arts and crafts, Hebrew
vocabulary, pretend play and more. The
theme for summer of 2010 is “Jews
Around the World”. We will take
the children on an exploration of 18
countries, allowing them to experience
the different foods, Jewish traditions
and culture in each. We are offering
one class for 2-3 year olds and one
for 4-5 year olds; projects and activities
are tailored to the children’s
ages and abilities. Our flex option
allows parents to sign up for just those
class days they want, making it easy
to work around vacation and other schedules.
Sign up for one day or the whole summer!

Social Opportunities
The Early Childhood Committee is proud
to announce even more opportunities
to celebrate with your little ones!
Our programs are designed to make holidays
accessible to children, offering them
easy-to-understand explanations and
fun hands-on projects to engage them.
This year we will be offering a Small
World Chicken Nugget dinner, Sukkot
“Supper in the Sukkah,”
Hannukah Party, Purim Dinner & a
Movie, and a Children’s Seder.
And, of course, we welcome all our Early
Childhood families at the Temple-wide
Simchat Torah celebration, Purim carnival,
Megillah reading, and more!
