My
name is Laurie Canning and I am in my second year
as the Youth Director for Temple Beth Torah. I
am really excited to lead a youth program that
has a Kadima, Jr USY and Sr USY, with 90 total
members. We are growing fast as a chapter!
Each month there are events that encourage the
kids to come together in a fun way to socialize
and connect with Jewish peers. We have gone to
the IMAX, Red Sox, Celtics, a water park, snowtubing,
and much more! I have also enjoyed teaching in
the Temple Beth Torah Hebrew School for the past
10 years. I currently teach the Gimel and Zayin
classes, but have also taught Bet, Dalet, Hay
and Vav in the past.
Outside of the temple, I also teach French part
time at the Ben Franklin Charter School and have
worked there for over 10 years as well.
