Shalom and Welcome to Temple Beth Torah
Eleven years ago my family moved to Holliston
from Houston, Texas. We were looking for a place
where our children could receive a Jewish education
and gain a strong Jewish identity; a place where
we could celebrate holidays and make spiritual
connections; a place where we would make friends
and find community; a place that we would call
home. We found that place at Temple Beth Torah
and we invite you to share this special place
with us.
Temple Beth Torah is a strong, vibrant community
in the Metrowest Boston area. With a membership
of approximately 200 families, we have one of
the largest United Synagogue Youth (USY) groups
in the area. We have a variety of committees such
as Israel Action, Education, Ritual, Youth, Jewish
Camping, Fundraising, Early Childhood and more.
Each committee brings new ideas and programs to
our Temple, strategically growing our community
and connecting more of our members to areas of
interest.
We are proud of our connections to the greater
Jewish community. We are a site for Jewish Family
Service of Metrowest’s Kesher 13 program,
connecting our youth to elders as they celebrate
Shabbat and other holidays at Summerville at Farm
Pond Assisted Living Facility. We are one of CJP’s
Israel Infused Synagogues, receiving support and
resources for Israel action. We are excited to
offer Rosh Chodesh: It’s a Girls Thing to
our 6th and 7th grade girls, a program that uses
Jewish tradition to enrich the lives of girls
as it gives them a safe place to talk about the
challenges they face. We are also pleased to partner
with CJP for the Camping Initiative, a grant program
that encourages our young members to attend Jewish
overnight camp.
Temple Beth Torah hosts Shabbat Services each
Friday evening at 7:30 pm and Saturday morning
at 10:00 am. We offer alternative services including
our monthly music-filled Ruach Shabbat, our monthly
young family Small World Shabbat, and our monthly
educational family B’Yachad Service.
Temple Beth Torah is a special place and I invite
you into our home. I encourage you to attend one
of Shabbat Services or one of our programs. I
encourage you to seek connections and get involved.
There are many points of entry, let us help you
find yours. Please contact me if you would like
more information about our community.
